On 25–26 September 2025, a delegation from the University of Zakho consisting of Dr. Nawzad Khudhur Saeed, Head of the Accounting Department; Mr. Hoshang A. Abdulhadi, Vice Dean of the College of Education; and Mr. Haval Abdullah Hussein, Vice Dean of the College of Basic Education, participated in the MARE Mid-Project Conference held at the University of Pavia, Italy.

 

This international conference focused on the historical trajectories of trans-Mediterranean mobilities and served as a platform for researchers to rethink connections, borders, and identities across the Mediterranean region.

 

On the second day of the conference, Mr. Hoshang A. Abdulhadi presented a seminar titled "The Impact of the TeachersMOD Project at the University Level: University of Zakho as a Partner and Example."

 

The collaboration with the University of Pavia follows the successful implementation of the TeachersMOD project, the University of Pavia under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Antonio Morone. 

This partnership continues to strengthen academic ties and foster international cooperation.
